Hvor lidt kan man få xp til at fylde? Sys jeg så en nyhed på et tidspunkt om en fyr der havde skrumpet xp ret meget. Nogen der kan huske den?

Med nLite kan du selv fjerne "overflødige" programmer fra din XP installation, men det bliver nok svært at minimere XP mere end #2's henvisning - i samme dur er TinyXP BEAST edition, som jeg kender flere, der bruger på f.eks. gamle notebooks eller i Parallels til mac for at få lidt ekstra ydelse. Problemet er dog, at så snart du begynder at fjerne diverse protokoller som f.eks. INF og JET, så fjerner du også muligheden for at bruge f.eks. Officepakken og printerunderstøttelse...

et par småtips til alm installation Afinstaller windows-programmer Slå dvaletilstand fra Slet alt i C:\WINDOWS\system32\dllcache Slet alt i C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch Slet alle wav, jpg, mpg osv, men pas på med bmp, er er nogen der er nødvendige så vidt jeg husker

jeg forstår ikke en en pind af listen i #2, men betyder det ikke, at windows ikke har nogle drivere, og at man i praksis skal installere en masse manuelt, bare for at få musen og netkortet til at virke?

#6 Det er en version af XP som #2 har fundet på piratebay, som med 99,9% sikkerhed er lavet med nLite. Både ja og nej, tror ikke du kan fjerne understøttelse af PS/2 mus. Istedet for at få en hel masse standard drivere til f.eks skærm, ville det jo være smart at fjerne dem, da du sikkert alligevel selv ville installere nogen nye drivere efter Windows er installeret, og hvis du ikke bruger fax og moden, kan du ligeså godt fjerne det, osv. osv. osv. nLite kan klart anbefales herfra, du bliver overrasket over hvor meget lort der følger med Windows, som du sagtens kan undvære ;) www.nlite.com[...]

Ja jeg har set en version der kunne være på en usbkey, 80MB det var alt.... Men det var en pirat version, for har ikke set den fra MS :)

Jeg hopper på nLite. så kan jeg selv styrer hvormeget der bliver fjernet. Det som #2 skriver lyder ret extremt. Vil bare gerne kunne spare lidt plads på den bærbare. Skal kun ha xp som backup og til spil på min MBP.
