Graphic card is the most important component for gaming, of course there`s also great to have ... a great cpu on board, unfortunately FX-6300 isn`t a great nice,
You should start the upgrade from changing your gfx - f.e. R9-270X:
http://www.edbpriser.dk[...]
As you can see here:
http://tpucdn.com[...]
- HD 6870 has similar performance to HD 7790.
And as you can see here:
http://tpucdn.com[...]
R9-270X gives +-100% more fps than HD 7790 (of course we have to keep in mind cpu`s limitations).
So ... a graphic card first, as cpu upgrade isn`t that significant. If you got a chance to OC Q9400 @ +- 3,5GHz - then ... comparing to FX-6300 ... there won`t be any huge difference.
As you can see here:
http://www.anandtech.com[...]
- check Q9400 vs. Phenom II X4 940, FX-6300 is similar with performance to Phenom II X4 ... there`s no big difference.
Cpu cooler for OC:

- check if it fits in your case, check also RAM - it`s compatible with low profile RAM.
Maybe OC @ +- 3,2GHz ... depends mostly on cpu and gpu load, as 500W PSU ... is so-so.
