Og her er grunden :)
DESCRIPTION :
Maxi Studio ISIS not supported in Windows XP/2000
Windows XP/2000 drivers cannot be developed for Maxi Studio Isis for technical reasons.
If we could write drivers to have ISIS supported in Windows XP/2000, we would, but the ISIS multi-channel hardware architecture, designed in 1997, is not compatible with Windows XP/2000.
In Windows 95, 98 and Millennium, Maxi Studio Isis can transfer directly audio buffers between the ISIS audio chipsets (the Dream SAM 9407 DSP and the ESS Maestro 2 controller) without being interrupted thanks to VXD drivers: that is the way Maxi Studio Isis handles multi-channel audio recording and playback.
Windows XP/2000 cannot support direct transfers: any buffer transfer goes through intermediary software layers, which the operating system can interrupt at any moment. The SAM 9407 DSP has not access to a DMA to store these audio buffers when the operating system interrupts the transfers, so at each interruption the audio buffer is lost, which prevents both recording and playback.
That is why no Windows XP/2000 driver can be developed for Maxi Studio Isis.

Men hvis der er nogen med win 98 f.eks. der kunne være interesseret. Så kan i jo bare skrive, er som sagt villig til at bytte med anden hardware :)
