Hej PeterAA
Tak for input.
RAM - search for 1.5v one.
gfx is a silent one:
http://www.techpowerup.com[...]
PC should be quite silent :)
If you like silence ... i would suggest you to buy ASUS motherboard, it comes with an amazing software called ASUS Fan Xpert 2:
http://techreport.com[...]
= you can create your own ... fan speed / temperature profile.

A 1680*1050 60Hz swapped for 1920*1080 60Hz - that`s kinda nonsense, when focusing on gaming.
1920*1080 120-144Hz shoud be a next buy. -- P183 V3 @ 500rpm, P8P67 Deluxe, i7-2600K @ 4, NH-D14 @ 500rpm, 840 PRO 256GB, 8GB 1866MHz CL8, GTX 580 + Alpenföhn Peter @ 500rpm, SF 1000W Platinum Evo 212 + Fractal design = silent computer.
Depends on noise sensitivity, R4 use front and rear 140mm 1000rpm fan = for me it would be too noisy.
EVO 212 operates in 600rpm - 1600rpm range, 600rpm = yes, it`s silent, but R4 has no top fan by standard = not so good ventilation, when 212 reaches faster speed = will be noisy.
NH-D14 is more efficient, i was testing a solution with no top fan hole (covered with noise and heat blocking material, same as R4) and with 500rpm temperatures were acceptable (with cpu OC @ 4GHz).
However i accept +- 45 degrees in idle and up to 70 degrees under 100% load ... those temperatures won`t hurt the cpu at all, and gives opportunity to have a silent PC (mine is super silent, the fastest fan is a 120mm one and operates @ 500rpm).
R4 is OK, eventually he can change fans for some super silent ones - that`s no problem.
212 EVO ... he`s not on a tight budget, i would still suggest NH-D14. -- P183 V3 @ 500rpm, P8P67 Deluxe, i7-2600K @ 4, NH-D14 @ 500rpm, 840 PRO 256GB, 8GB 1866MHz CL8, GTX 580 + Alpenföhn Peter @ 500rpm, SF 1000W Platinum http://www.komplett.dk[...]
har lige samlet den her den er også nice nok :) -- I5-4670K , MSI Z87-GD65 , MSI GeForce GTX 780 , Kingston DDR3 HyperX Beast 16GB , Kingston HyperX 3K SSD 120GB , Seagate® Desktop SSHD 1TB , #8

hvad er der da galt med den? -- I5-4670K , MSI Z87-GD65 , MSI GeForce GTX 780 , Kingston DDR3 HyperX Beast 16GB , Kingston HyperX 3K SSD 120GB , Seagate® Desktop SSHD 1TB , Tak for inputs!
#1 / #3
-- Don't panic Endelig line up bliver:
CPU: INTEL i5 4670k
MB: ASUS Z87-PRO -- Don't panic Som du skriver i #2
-- Phenom II X4 965 | ASUS M4A79T Deluxe | Kingston 8GB DDR3 |Sapphire HD5850 | Corsair H50 | Corsair HX750W | WD raptor & Greenpower 2GB version is fine, nobody said that > 1920*1080 it will be bad. RAM tips:
http://www.computersalg.dk[...]
- i use this RAM and running it @ 1.65v with 1866MHz CL8-8-8-24 1T.
Cheaper option:
http://www.computersalg.dk[...]
- with a little bit worse timings.
RAM compatibility with Noctua:
http://www.noctua.at[...]
- both above tips are fine.
PC looks good, sorry for no response - but i don`t know ASRock`s Fan-Tastic ... looks very similar to ASUS`s Fan Xpert.

Neh, eventually - as i`ve linked to Crucial`s 1866MHz, it can probably run @ 2100MHz CL10 1.65v, has good price / performance ratio, no sense to overpay for 2100/2400 MHz. In games - the difference won`t be noticeable, the use = programs, a little better times, but nothing amazing. -- P183 V3 @ 500rpm, P8P67 Deluxe, i7-2600K @ 4, NH-D14 @ 500rpm, 840 PRO 256GB, 8GB 1866MHz CL8, GTX 580 + Alpenföhn Peter @ 500rpm, SF 1000W Platinum 2133MHz* -- P183 V3 @ 500rpm, P8P67 Deluxe, i7-2600K @ 4, NH-D14 @ 500rpm, 840 PRO 256GB, 8GB 1866MHz CL8, GTX 580 + Alpenföhn Peter @ 500rpm, SF 1000W Platinum The Crucial Ballistix Tactical is added.
Thx for the link. -- Don't panic #4, according to the Asus board i agree, but only because I personaly like Asus.. The fan-xpert software is not super great imo and there are other alternatives which works across different brands. Like speedfan..
I don't think the fan xpert software should be a reason to choose Asus because you can do same with other software on other boards. Choose Asus because it is a super nice board instead.. :-) -- i7 4770K|Asus Maximus VI Hero|Noctua NH-d14|16GB Trident X 2400|Asus GTX780|Corsair Hx850|120GB SSD|Antec P182|Asus VG278He|Samsung S27B550V Fan Xpert / Fan Xpert 2 is an amazing piece of software for somebody who likes to manage fans.
Don`t compare it to Speedfan, it`s like BMW M5 vs. Opel (not Insignia OPC, but Corsa 1.0 ;)

Did some reviews on the two boards and ended up with the ASUS mostly due the “niceness” factor ;)
- Stated out around 9K, now closer to 11K – fun how things have a tendency to creep up as you go along :) -- Don't panic BTW is Win 8 OEM license locked to the mobo or to you? -- Don't panic #21
No - no more locked, Win 8 has better licensing system than XP, Vista, 7, they`ve changed it. You can sell it whenever you want (of course uninstalling from PC ;)
Don`t worry about that "support list", it means practically nothing, RAM is standarized, you`ll be 100% fine with Crucial, but ... up to you. -- P183 V3 @ 500rpm, P8P67 Deluxe, i7-2600K @ 4, NH-D14 @ 500rpm, 840 PRO 256GB, 8GB 1866MHz CL8, GTX 580 + Alpenföhn Peter @ 500rpm, SF 1000W Platinum Thx again.
G.SKILL + OEM version made the list again. -- Don't panic Hmm meant Crucial Ballistix Tactical -- Don't panic #24
Hehe ... i have written "Crucial Ballistix Tactical" ... but there stands "G.SKILL +". I can read your mind ;)
Good choice, nice PC. -- P183 V3 @ 500rpm, P8P67 Deluxe, i7-2600K @ 4, NH-D14 @ 500rpm, 840 PRO 256GB, 8GB 1866MHz CL8, GTX 580 + Alpenföhn Peter @ 500rpm, SF 1000W Platinum i have written = i have read*

(:
-- Phenom II X4 965 | ASUS M4A79T Deluxe | Kingston 8GB DDR3 |Sapphire HD5850 | Corsair H50 | Corsair HX750W | WD raptor & Greenpower
