My friend wants to upgrade his GPU and I just wanted to hear you guys out for advice, since this is the first time we change a GPU: His current setup: Asrock h110m-hds Intel Core i5 7500- CPU @ 3.4 GHz DDR4 8G RAM (1066,2 MHz) The new GPU he wants to buy: ASUS GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER ROG Strix Grafikkort, PCI-Express 3.0, 8GB GDDR6, 1605/1800MHz [priced at 5599 DKK online] OR ASUS GeForce RTX 2070 8GB ROG STRIX GAMING OC [priced at 4290 DKK online] Any problems with buying any of these two GPUs? Will it fit? Will it be bottlenecked by CPU/RAM? Thank you!

I believe the cpu and ram Will completly bottleneck those gfx. Get a 1660 version. Will play everything fine on 1080 nps...

Yes, it will definitely bottleneck the cpu, buy at least an i7, or a 6/8 core AMD

If he is playing 1080p then the 1660 is a fine upgrade from 1060. Id suggest he uses the rest of the money to upgra with motherboard, cpu and ram.

A 1660 Super is a pointless upgrade. It will give you 25%. Meaning that ud you are suffering from Low FPS, such as 45 to 50, then you will get 57 to 62. https://gpu.userbenchmark.com[...] You should spend the same amount og money om a second hand ( used ) GTX 1080, that would most likely cost you 2100-2300 kr. It will give you a massive boost in FPS. https://gpu.userbenchmark.com[...] A 1080 will not be bottlenecked by i5-7500. And if is does bottleneck you slightly, then just bump up you graphics settings. ( My GTX 1080 is not for sale ).
