A nice "tilbud" for Z87-G55: http://www.komplett.dk[...] it cost 839kr. atm. 4GB gives you practically no difference @ 1920*1080, waste of money.

"Andre der har nogle indvendinger?" that really hurts :( I`m kidding :D ;) This cpu cooler will be also fine: http://www.compumail.dk[...] And if you would like to save money on PSU: http://www.edbpriser.dk[...] - this one is also very silent, but ... RM750 for 828kr. incl. delivery: http://www.sikkenemt.dk[...] is a great offer.

@e-gamer How much would a R4 cabinet improve/reduce my noise level when im currently running a Silverstone FT03 (which is a quite open case)with 4 low noise 120mm fans. Will it be noticable at all? http://www.silverstonetek.com[...]

#7 Which fans are you using? Are you sure it`s fans that makes noise? - it can also come from: 1. PSU a) fan b) electrical noise 2. gfx 3. cpu cooler. EDIT: About R4 ... as standard it has top fan holes "covered" by noise blocking material - temps. won`t be the best. If you install there some fan ... it might also be noisy, it`s the best when all components are tweaked nicely (cooperate together). And which mobo do you use? - do you control those fans somehow?

The sound is pretty static all the way down through my case (have almost had my entire head inside it, and tried to research on all fans (one sounded a bit squeaky) I don't control the fans. I doubt it's an available feature on my mobo (intel DH77eb). My cpu fan runs at 1000RPM on this noctua NH-U12P cooler http://www.noctua.at[...] Rest of the case fans run at 700rpm. Graphics is a EVGA e-Geforce GTX 570 which I guess is around avg. per sound level. Om not clocking or anything, so the CPU says around 35-ish.

What`s the brand of those case fans? EDIT - ah, ok. Are you using NH-U12P Noctua fan @ 900rpm - with ULNA adaptor? - you know ... if you plug LNA + ULNA together - yes, 2 adaptors for one fan ... the speed should be +- 600-700rpm. I got on some of my Noctua fans ... 3 adaptors installed on 1 fan :) Does the GTX 570 looks like this? http://images.bit-tech.net[...] Which PSU are you using?

You know - some fans makes weird noise ... that might be it, it`s really hard to say, generally they should be very silent due to low speed and small size (bigger fan - comparing to a smaller - operating at the same speed ... makes more noise). But if you compare them vs. Noctua fans: http://www.noctua.at[...] - those 80mm Noctuas @ 800rpm gives 7dBA noise, @ 1300rpm - 10dBA ... and those Silverstone @ 900rpm - 15dBA. Are you sure the noise comes from case fans? - you can always turn them off for testing :)

You are spot on about the graphics card, and my PSU is a Corsair AX750. I have tried to switch off the fans one by one, and the "odd one out" is switched off atm. It seems like the noise level is pretty even throughout the case.

#13 Generally - if you got the case close to your ears - R4 might help a little. The question is ... if you need it? = is your "present noise" irritating you? And R4 - by default - has no top fans (holes are covered with noise blocking material) = temps. of cpu and gpu might be higher, higher temp. = faste fan speed, faster fan speed = more noise ... so ... a silent case ... might cause ... more noise :D

Oh, that's a good point. It's not irratating and it's actually quite silent, but you know.. :) Anyway, thanks for your input - you have some good pointers :=)
