What is the best fiber company to play online?

Hi, I'm new to Denmark and I still don't know how the internet works on a technical level here. I have 1 Gbps fiber with Telenor. I live in Hirtshals and there is a sticker with the name of NordEnergi on my Fiberboks. I am a person who likes online games (Lol, CoD, Valorant, WoW, etc...) I would like to know which is the best company to contract the internet and that has better latencies and ping. I have run out of Telenor's discounted price and I would like to change company. What do you think of Norlys as an internet company? What is the best company at a technical level (Ping, Saturation, Latency, etc)? Thank you

Hi, welcome to Denmark and HardwareOnline. It depends on where you live and what equipment you already have. Of course you need a wired connection from the ISP provided router/modem to your PC. And try to avoid having multiple routers on your network before the signal reaches your PC. If your ISP provided "box on the wall" has a router function in it, and you're satisfied with the functionality it provides, there's no need to add your own router as well. If you want to add your own router, and the box on the wall also contains a router function, put it in bridge mode, disabling the router function, so your own router takes care of it. You'll want to have as few devices as possible on your connection, to make sure the signal reaches your PC as fast as possible. Depending on your area you probably won't notice a difference in latency, and a lot of games are hosted on servers outside of Denmark anyway, so your ping might (kinda) suck regardless.

You can't go wrong with norlys fiber, it's the only iSP I've had that didn't do weekly disconnects for maintance. It's one of the more expensive ISP's, but what you get is a reliable low latency connection. If you decide to order Fiber from norlys and want to use your own router connected to the "wallbox", you need to make a note in the order, or you will have to call their support for them to change some settings on your connection for it to be able to work.

#2 I have decided to contract the premium fiber from Altibox, for 24 Kr more per month the router they provide me is a Google Wifi Nest Pro which is a good router. Altibox has IPV6. What do you think of this company? I was going to hire Norlys but finally I chose Altibox because of the Google router Does Altibox work well? Should I have contracted the fiber from Norlys? The fiber deployed in Hirtshals is owned by NordEnergi...

they're all pretty good afaik I have Fibia, because they're the cheapest i can find (and its ... expensive) but its super stable and i've had absolutely no issues with them. i use my own router, and i called them about that, they just put their box in "bridge mode" and .. that was it.
